GRAPHIC NARRATIVE PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENT
Ideas and concepts:
I had many ideas in mind for the narrative and style I could go for with this assignment. However, I always knew I wanted to choose black and white as I love the contrast between the two and I believe it's easier to focus on the story and what the illustrations are saying to the audience, as the colour sometimes distracts readers from what the images really mean.
I love the topic of War and I think it's a really interesting period in time, which is why I have decided to use that time period to set my comic book in.
I will use some text to accompany my illustrations in the comic, as I believe it will help assist the story for people finding it difficult to understand the images by themselves.

The drawings are detailed and it is clear to see the difference in characters. I think that the last few pannels could have been split into multiple drawings to explain the story more. The text used is effective and suits the style of your comic.

It was an interesting short read. I thought the drawings were very good, and well detailed. I feel that towards the end the story seemed a little rushed however that being said, it was a very nice plot and i liked it very much. the font and text suited the drawing styles and overall everything worked very well. Also Hitler Died so that was cool :D

I like the planned, simplistic design of the drawings, it worked well with the text next to each image. The drawings were stylized in a nice way which was unique to you, I like the use of black and white to signify the fact they didn't have colored images back then I presume, good drawing of Hitler he looked chiseled.
Self Evaluation:
I'm quite happy with how the final piece came out and most of the drawings. However, I think if I spent some more time on some of them, then the final product could have looked a lot more professional on the whole. I think I rushed the end of the story a little bit, meaning there are a few more illustrations that I could have used, which would have lead to the need of less text and a better visual concept. I do like the style I have used though, which is deliberately very stylistic and simplistic. I decided to use not much or no shade in the background, which I knew would give a better flow from one image to the other, when all images were stuck on the page.
If I was to do this task again, I'd definitely amend all of the above issues I've discussed and I would probably work on a better narrative and add more detail and shading to my illustrations to give the story a better visual.
